Thrift Pop-Up in aid of Richmond Foundation

The event will take place during Black Friday (24th November 2023) and Cyber Monday (27th November 2023) at the Gabriel Caruana Foundation ’s The Mill – Art, Culture and Crafts Centre (MACCC) in Birkirkara. We are aware that clothing bought during Black Friday and Cyber Monday contributes to environmental pollution through the extensive carbon emissions in production and transportation, chemical pollution from textile treatments, the release of microplastics, and the overflowing of landfills due to the “throwaway” culture of fast fashion.  Thus, during these two days, a pop-up thrift shop will be open to the public; where second-hand clothing will be sold, and all proceeds will be donated to the Richmond Foundation – Malta .
