Caruana’s mother, Beatrice, passes away whilst carrying her sixth child. Caruana’s maternal grandmother, moves with the family to take care of her grandchildren. Carmela, born to Paolo Michelizzi and Isabella Plutino, is a source of inspiration to Caruana, having introduced him to music from a very young age.
