Fluid Space is a collaborative project that merges video, photography, and research to explore the dynamics of Malta’s changing urban landscapes, social structures, networks, conflicts, communities, strangers, time and space. The project is both an introspective venture as well as an exploratory journey of Malta’s urban fabric; its forms and the way in which we construct and shape our environments. By focusing on public art, lived spaces, and Malta’s material traditions in relation to The Mill and Gabriel Caruana’s art historical legacy, Fluid Space, is an invitation to ponder on that which has been gained and lost, on the beauty of the everyday commonly overlooked, and on the ugliness that is destroying a rich heritage.
