Être is both an inward and outward exploration, based on the concept of a journey as a meeting point of personal point of views. Denise Scicluna, Marco Scerri and Steven Scicluna, based in different countries (England, Scotland and Spain, respectively), create art that deals with states of mind, personal surroundings (cultural, geographical, architectural, natural landscapes), phases in life, personal journeys and discoveries, a mapping of personal histories and futures. By creating multiple angles they address a similar question – how do we use art to navigate life? – the exhibition will reveal an abstract connection that Denise Scicluna, Marco Scerri and Steven Scicluna share as well as distinct personal viewpoints.
