πŸ“ About the workshop: FRESH FABRIK (2022-2024) is a collaborative, transnational project organized by three cultural organizations from Malta, Estonia, and Hungary. As part of this initiative, the Gabriel Caruana Foundation (MT) is hosting a 3-day workshop in Malta, focusing on interdisciplinary collaboration, collective practices, the status of the artist, and the ecology of the arts from a grass-roots perspective.

The workshop provides a unique opportunity for participants to collectively explore these themes and contribute to the discourse surrounding them. It is open to ten participants residing in Malta, who are either already working or just starting their professional careers in the arts.

Please note that filling out the form does not guarantee a spot as participants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. Commitment to attending the entire workshop
  2. Reasons to participate

The goal is to create a diverse cohort with individuals from different sectors, varying levels of experience, and diverse backgrounds within the arts in Malta.

  • Wednesday, July 12th, 2023, 7:00 pm: SPRING x FRESH FABRIK meet-up at The Mill, Birkirkara
  • Thursday, July 13th, 2023, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Location: Valletta
  • Friday, July 14th, 2023, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Location: Balzan
  • Saturday, July 15th, 2023, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (followed by an evening meet-up). Location: Dingli

πŸ“œ Certificate of Attendance: Participants who attend all three workshop days in Malta and actively contribute to the discussions will receive a certificate of attendance issued by the FRESH FABRIK partners.

πŸ“ About FRESH FABRIK: FRESH FABRIK is a project undertaken by three cultural organizations: Gabriel Caruana Foundation (Malta), I.T.E.M. Foundation (Hungary), and De Structura (Estonia). Each partner brings unique skills to the project, including advocacy, entrepreneurship, and fundraising. The FRESH FABRIK partnership aims to raise awareness of the growing skill gaps in the cultural sector and promote better responsiveness to its structural issues.
